Intro + Q&A
So, your character has been sucked into Ardania. WHOOPS.
There is a plot to all of this! How fast it goes is up to us, but it is going to proceed with Events and an eventual Resolution. Around the plot, you can screw around in Medieval Land, making frandz and enemies and misadventures.
About characters: Play who you like! If you even want to make an OC from Ardania itself, that is cool; the heroes of the land are going to be interested in this mess. If you want to play more than one character, that's cool--the more the merrier.
Game Mechanics: Majesty is a game where you're nominally in charge of a bunch of RPG characters, so indeed there are Item Shops and resurrection mechanics. Theoretically there are also Guild spells for healing and buffs, but--at least for now--Sydrian is not going to spare those for you people. The Embassy is as much babysitting as he'll do for you.
Gameplay: In between PLOT, there are plenty of things to do in Medieval Land. There are monsters to bring as bounty, people to piss off, treasures to dig up, etc etc.
Logistics: All the outworlders live at the Embassy, where they have all the medieval amenities: a garderobe, servants to lug metal tubs of hot water upstairs, and mead.
When do we start? Hoping within the next couple of weeks.

Hi!
Questions
Introductions and stuff
Re: Introductions and stuff
Who I'd Play: Fuu Hououji from Magic Knight Rayearth. She has PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE getting sucked into other worlds and the gear that goes with it, although she'll be leaving her giant not-mecha at home since I'm probably taking her from a point between "The End" and "Three Years Later".
I may also play Aire from Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light who is a job class girl and mostly reformed from being Princess Brat. But I'mma wait and see on that because I'm also playing the NPCs.
Re: Introductions and stuff
Who I'll Play: I'm not sure, actually! Here are some characters I was thinking about:
* Link from Twilight Princess, a former ranch hand and villager who ended up saving his last land from an evil magician-thief. He's basically perfect for the setting, but never says anything in-game, which may make conversations a bit awkward.
* Lon'qu from Fire Emblem: Awakening, a swordsman with severe gynephobia which might actually pose a bit of a problem because he reacts to women by abruptly telling them to STAY BACK, WOMAN. Tough when you have to adventure together.
* Soren From Fire Emblem (Tellius), a tactician and archsage who is also perfect for the setting but kind of an asshole tbh. Usually, he's just a little on the ruthless side but will go along with group consensus, but he hates 'beast-men'. So. Much.
Re: Introductions and stuff
ALSO I SORT OF FEEL LIKE FUU MIGHT BE THE ONLY GIRL AROUND besides the plot NPCs so Lon'qu would probably be fineno subject

Hee, it makes me happy to see you're still playing the little jerk. XD

Right now I play this guy in a small AU game called vivarium. It's suuuper fun.

Who I'll Play: Owain from Fire Emblem: Awakening. He is a swordsman and also a giant dork who loves weapons and LARPing and inventing special attacks and getting far too caught up in his escapist fantasies.
If I'm feeling ambitious, I may also toss in Rath from Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. (Because let's face it, Cliché Medieval Land is perfect for FE characters. XD ) He's a quiet, stoic nomad with very little in the way of social skills. I swear half his lines in his support conversations are just "...."

Owain is going to be SO MUCH FUN. I feel like I should make some NPCs just to help him get into
troublefantastic adventures. Or maybe force Insira into his company just to see how long it takes for her to burst a vein.no subject

Who I'll Play: Christmas from Kurau Phantom Memory. She is a nice girl who is actually a being of light energy from another dimension. She's a great cook, but has a tendency to get over excited. Her home dimension is kind of the equivalent of a murky fishbowl so everything in human dimensions is SO!!! EXCITING!!!!! YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!!!!!
I might maybe bring Alice from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World too. She's a sadistic bitch who never wants to experience being weak ever again. To this end she enslaves monsters to do her bidding and talks to everyone in an overly cute manner while hitting them with her riding crop.
she'd fit right in Ace Attorney basicallyno subject
Alice would TOTALLY fit into Ace Attorney obviously I should start a courtroom minigame toono subject
only if she can whip the witnesses like Franziskano subject
if she's a prosecutor! defense attorneys can't do that shitRe: Introductions and stuff
Who I'll Play: I DON'T KNOW though maybe one of the book characters I have a journal for - Rosethorn, who is a snarky plant mage, Felix, who is a gaudy wizard with anger management issues, Mildmay, who is Felix's half-brother and a former assassin, or Kvothe who... doesn't really have enough canon out yet, but I'm a sucker for broken redheads apparently.
Alternatively, Braska from FFX.
Re: Introductions and stuff
Rosethorn might get nutty cultists following her around what with her plantiness. And everyone would for sure be super impressed by Braska's summons.Re: Introductions and stuff
I'm leaning a little towards Braska just because I haven't played him in aaaages and he's hard in jamjars with no plot because he just hangs out and chills

Who I'll Play: Not 100% BUT I am close to certain that I'll be playing
Space JesusSaint Walker from Green Lantern: The Animated Series, a super zen alien bug with a dead planet and powers stemming from PURE HOPE. He meditates and plays the harp and likes to talk people through their problems and all that jazz.no subject
